Fomes weberianus is lectotypified and the lectotype described and illustrated.
The designation of the nomenclatural lectotype is based on an assessment of Weber’s
original materials and the protologue. The name is lectotypified using a specimen from
the B Herbarium, in addition, duplicate material from S Herbarium is accepted as
isolectotype. The combination Ganoderma weberianum is taxonomically incorrect and
should not be used, the correct name for this species is Phylloporia weberiana.
