Onderzoeksoutput: Boek/rapportBoekpeer review

This publication represents the start of a new series of Flore d’Afrique centrale, dedicated to the Bryophytes occurring in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda and Burundi. It provides a brief introduction on the characteristics
and classification of Bryophytes, a key to the three Divisions (mosses, liverworts, hornworts), as well as the detailed treatment of the hornworts (Anthocerotopsida).
Within the region dealt with by this Flora, hornworts include ten species in three genera: Anthoceros, Notothylas and Phaeoceros. Keys and morphological descriptions are provided for the families, genera and species, with emphasis on characters used for their recognition, as well as data on distribution, habitat, representative specimens and additional literature. Anthoceros lamellatus is a new record for Africa and the occurrence of A. bharadwajii in Africa is confirmed.
