LIVCOL database is currently used for the managment of the living collections of Meise Botanic Garden. It needs to migrate to a modern web-based database, offering a high user-friendly interface, integrating new information technologies such as mapping, facilitating access to pictures or other documents, giving access from portable devices. BOTALISTA, being developed by the Conservatoire et Jardin botaniques de Genève, is one of the possibilities. The objectives of the workshop were to prepare the migration of the data from LIVCOL to BOTALISTA and to evaluate the needs for adapting some existing modules or developping new ones.
