This report, carried out by the Flemish Land Agency on behalf of the Department of the Environment, examines for the example project De Panne/Zwarten Hoek how an ecological connection can be made between the Westhoekduinen and the Cabourduinen in De Panne. The report contains a long-term and a short-term disconnection concept for this area.
The report is part of the study assignment ‘Spatial defragmentation programme - ROP Westkust’ in which the possibilities for defragmenting the dunes on the West Coast, in the territories of De Panne, Koksijde, Nieuwpoort and Middelkerke, are examined.
