The legislation (VCRO) provides the opportunity to realize care living through the simpler and faster notification procedure. Indeed, care living is part of a social trend toward providing more and longer home care. It involves helping or caring for a sick, disabled or elderly relative, acquaintance or neighbor. The evaluation is built around the question to what extent the elaborated procedures maximally facilitate care living. In other words, were the objectives achieved? Much of the evaluation consists of describing figures and interpretations of trends based on data from the environment counter. And those trends are checked against ongoing pilot projects work sessions to get a better picture of the application in practice. The evaluation study shows that, in general, the procedures for notifying and applying for a care home work well and do not require fundamental adjustments.
