The evaluation study shows that licensing authorities must have the necessary information and support for quality licensing. The provision of advice is one of the important elements for making good and reasoned decisions. The evaluation therefore does not question the usefulness and necessity of providing advice, but rather the way in which this is put into practice today. The study contains recommendations to optimize the advisory competences, to review the distribution of competences and the Flemish list, to focus even more on tailor-made and solution-oriented advice and some proposals to make the advisory services more efficient.
