A survey of continental African Coptosperma (Rubiaceae, Pavetteae)

The continental African species of Coptosperma, an Afromalagasy genus recently reestablished and enlarged, are revised. Thirteen taxa are recognized, for which eleven new taxonomic combinations are necessary; a new species from Somalia, C. somaliense, is described. The taxonomy of the species is surveyed, distribution maps are given and the chorology of the genus is discussed.
