A Mata atlântica do Sul da Bahia ocupa uma posição de destaque no que se refere à necessidade de ações Investigar a ocorrência e prevalência do vírus da febre amarela e de outros arbovírus em grupos de mico-leão-da-cara-dourada (Leontopithecus chrysomelas) no período de 2007 a 2014, que habitam ambientes com diferentes pressões antrópicas na Mata Atlântica da Bahia, de modo a inferir sobre o potencial de risco de transmissão dessas enfermidade para as populações humanas.
