Description

This research project concerns the updating of the division of the Flemish territory into 'cores, ribbons, scattered buildings in Flanders' as initially elaborated in the Spatial Report 2018 and updated in the Spatial Report 2021 published by the Department of Environment and Spatial Development. This spatial-typological division is not intended to be directly applicable to spatial policy, but functions as a level of analysis to frame statements about various thematic indicators in a spatial context.
